HISTOPATHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT OF ORAL LEUKOPLAKIA AMONG SNUFF USERS AND NON-USERS

Objectives: To assess histopathological characteristics of oral leukoplakia among snuff users and non-users. Material methods: The descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted at different hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. consisted 60 cases which 30 were non-users features assessed both groups. SPSS 20 used for the evaluation analysis data. Results: observed mean age 50.3 years. In users, 56.97 (SD+14.71) while 47.43 (SD+13.44). dysplasia 9/30 (30%) most common feature. relationship between found to be statistically significant with a p-value 0.04. Conclusion: It is concluded from present that showed wide range these variants exist even however are high than shows greater potential conversion into malignancy users.
